Emmylou was not the name of a young and mysterious woman, but the one of an old wooden lady. Indeed, the PS Emmylou is one of the few paddle steamers that still cruise on the Murray River. Its base is Echuca whose wooden warfs and main street throw you go back to the times when a large part of Australia’s trade took place on rivers. Here is therefore, an hour on the Emmylou.
