In the middle of the Parana river, lay large islands. Long strips of earth that will surrender to nature once or twice in a decade. Tree tops will remain, the rest will be water. These lands are hostile to the visitor, but you’ll find sometimes here and there, a place to dock and a little house to stay.  (click on picture to enlarge)

All day they walk by the River. In search of a few pigeons to shoot at with their catapults. They say they killed about five this year. And they ate them.   (click on picture to enlarge)

New adventures, new website. I have quite my job and embarked on a 80 weeks trip around the world. After running my photoblog Paris Street Photography for two years, time for a website upgrade. Indeed, www.yanidel.net will provide more flexibility and interactivity to go along this trip. I intend to keep the same routine as my initial blog, that is a picture a day with a text. I will also keep on publishing articles on street photography.

First stop will be Argentina. A long stay of 6 months, in a town lost in the middle of soy fields. Good-bye to the glamour of Paris, hello to the rural life of a tiny town.
