I always try to get the candid picture first, without interacting with the subject. But then, I usually smile and will say something nice or funny. 95% of the times it works and people open up for a portrait. Two different kind of pictures, a smile apart. (click on pictures for high res)
Rosario – Leica M9 with 35mm Summilux at F2.8, ISO160
While my main issue right now is lack of time to shoot due to our new settlement in Argentina, I do admit that I miss Paris a lot in terms of photography. Rosario is fine and there are a lot of opportunities, but Paris corresponds more to my vision of street photography. Though I know it will still be long time before we go there again, I think we will do our best in the future to spend a least a few weeks each year in the city of Lights. But before that, we must succeed in our new adventure here in Argentina. And then, maybe the dream situation of a having a life split between the two continents could eventually happen. Wishful thinking I guess.
Meanwhile, I'll post some new picture of my Paris archive now and then.

Note : as you might have noticed, I haven't posted any pictures for the last two days. It had been a long time I had not broken the daily routine, yet we are still struggling to get a good and constant connection wherever we are. And since we took a long weekend by the river … well, internet could wait for once.
