As some of you might have noticed, I have made some changes to this website over the past few weeks.  My main objective was to improve the site in terms of readability and provide a better access to information.

Here is the changelog :

- change of font and links colors for better readability
- implementation of "subscribe to comment reply" function. You might now opt to receive an email once a reply is posted to one of your comment.
- rotating banner displaying the last 7 articles on street photography.
- a redesign of the "STREET ARTICLES" menu item. The available information has grown significantly so I elected to break it in several sub-menus : Technique, Interviews, travel tips, humour, weekly polls.
- better presentation of the STREET ARTICLE listings. "New" and "Most popular" tags have been added to better identify some of the content.
- new contact form
- new header and blog title. I will keep on updating from time often to break the routine.

Do not hesitate to make any suggestions or comments in the section below.

And sure, websites (well … magazines) still looked way better 50 years ago, as shown in this picture taken at a book stall by the Seine River.

  1. I found the previous font much easier to read.
The pictures are still wonderful though :-)

    • I guess that is most important, how do you read the blog by the way, on a desktop ? Fonts might change automatically depending on it, but overall I am surprised to hear that the last one was easier to read. Cheers.

  2. I am not fond of the new font either, looks more corporate in my opinion… In course, we'll be used to it in 3 days!

    • Hi Thomas … corporate …. mmmmh …. worked many years in that world and tried to get away from it. I thought it was the opposite though. ;)  But is it easy to read, that is the most important to me ? cheers.

  3. Hello Yannick, I haven't checked your website from a mobile/tablet yet but I recommend you take a look, I think a lot of people do that nowadays, and the readability issue is completely different on these devices. I quite like the new typeface but the header logo, hm, not so much ;)

    • Yes, the header logo needs some work still, but I think it is an improvement over … basically nothing I had before. I do always look at the rendering on mobile devices but the options are so many that I cannot make sure it works on every single one. Only a pro company can. As long as the picture and text can be read, I am ok even if the layout is not 100% right. Cheers.
